The 4th overall pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft to the Connecticut Sun, Elizabeth Williams, is an athletic and versatile 6’3” post player that runs the floor extremely well, has excellent hands around the basket, and can step out and hit the midrange and the three-pointer. Elizabeth, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was named the WBCA National Defensive Player of the Year this season along with her fourth straight ACC Defensive Player of the Year honor. Elizabeth, who starred for Duke University, is the first player in ACC history to be named to the AP All-America team all four years. The 2015 WBCA Division I Coaches’ All-America Team selection averaged 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game this season as she led her team to the NCAA Sweet 16. For her career, Elizabeth finished with an impressive 1,955 points, 1,078 rebounds and 426 blocks. Elizabeth helped the 2011 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team win a gold medal in Puerto, Chile, the 2010 USA Basketball U17 World Championship Team win a gold medal in Toulouse France, and guided the 2009 USA Basketball U16 National Team to a gold medal in Mexico City.
